Although this test kit will tell you IF you have fiberglass in your home, it does not give you an indication of the severity of the problem. The results list "Raw count" and "total count", then gives "Percent of total count." However, the total count is not a count of all particles, just fiberglass particles, so "Percent of total" is always 100% (and therefore meaningless). It should provide a total count of all particles, then percent of total count will show how much of the sample is attributable to fiberglass. In other words, if the surface sampled was very dusty (e.g., total count of 100), a count of 2 (which would be 2% of total count) would not be as serious as a count of 2 with a total count of 10 (i.e., Percent of total = 20%).
