Pure Guardian H1500 Ultrasonic Midsize Manual Humidifier

Purchased this for our infant son. We desired both a warm and cool mist option and this allowed us to not purchase two products. The water tank is fairly large and only needs to be refilled once ever 3 days. We run this all night in his nursery so approx. 11 hours at a time. The unit is very quiet and it creates an excellent amount of humidity so much that we have to leave the door partially open or the room becomes steamy. It's a little pricy for a humidifier but we are pleased with the product. It also contains a night light which we do not use as it is too bright for our liking.

Sewer Odor Sweetfilter II Commercial

After having a new home built we have had to deal with the very unpleasant odor from our roof vent for 3 years now, even after raisng the stack when we paid a plumber to investigate, and called in the septic installer, we still had the horrible odor. I saw this item one day when I was surfing for possible causes and solutions and to my delite it was available on Amazon so after reading the most helpful reviews I ordered it, it came about 10 days sooner than the estimate which was my 1st surprise, then it was very easy to install and ever since I have not even caught a whiff of any unpleasant odor in my back yard !!! I cant rate this item high enough and the seller was awesome as well, if you have any odor problem, dont waste money on a plumber, just buy this simple to install solution, now if anytime in the future I come across that odor I will update my review but I can tell you that it smells country fresh in our yard for now !!! Wish I had seen this years ago.

UPDATE: 2012 1 year later we still have not had 1 single episode of odor, I am thinking maybe I should go ahead and order a refill just incase it becomes unavailable, you know how it goes, you find something that actually works then they take it off the market. 10 star plus rating deserved on this product. Dont pay a plumber to waste your money just buy this and you have just fixed your issue and money will be well spent!!

24x30x5 (23.75x29.75x4.38) MERV 10 Honeywell Grill Filter

Don;t really know if these filters work because I don't know how to tell that. However, the price was great (beat our local prices by 50%) and the service fast. Would highly recommend this purchase. The filters do grab tons of dog hair (and you can actually scoop out the dog hairwe have four dogs and a cat). They last much longer than the smaller filters and came with a great review from our local HVAC company that charged us twice this price for them.

I would recommend them and would highly recommend this source for purchases.

Honeywell Replacement Filter

This Replacement filter works perfectly on my Honeywell HCM-6000. I found that the filter will last longer if you flip it every other water fill up. This will not allow any one side to stay in the water too long and turn sour.

Hoover Elite Cyclonic Canister Vacuum

Our Hoover wind tunnel vacuum was beginning to show some wear after 6 years (power cord insulation broken) so we decided to spend a little more money and buy a Dyson DC14. As soon as it was out of the box and turned on it made a horrible grinding racket so it went right back in the box and back to the store. I was gun shy about buying another vacuum and spent a lot more time trying them out. Having owned several Hoover vacuums including a carpet cleaner that I love, I began to think I shouldn't stray from a reliable brand but I was still open-minded as I shopped and used several different brands and models at the store. I found the Hoover Elite Cyclonic to be the best that I tried. It is very simple to operate, with common sense, intuitive hookups between the canister and hose and the hose and wand. The adjustable wand is heavy duty metal and clicks quickly and easily in and out of the power nozzle. The power nozzle itself has a light and a powered, spinning brush that I like. The cyclone canister holds plenty of dust and lint and is easy to empty. I was leery about buying a canister since I have always found uprights easy to move around but I have absolutely no trouble handling the Elite Cyclonic. The adjustable handle is a plus since I am tall and my wife is shorter, and we can both vacuum comfortably. An absolute plus given my worn electrical cord problem is the automatic cord reel, which winds the cord into the canister body at the touch of a spring-loaded button. The vacuum is powerful and pulled dust, lint, and hair out of the carpet as well as the Dyson I used, but with none of the noise and flimsyness that I experienced with that brand.

The ONLY minor complaint I have about this vacuum concerns the fact that since it is bagless, there is a slight dusty mess when emptying the canister container into the wastebasket. I believe this to be true with any of the bagless vacuums currently on the market, and it empties quite like the Dyson that I tried. This messy disposal is certainly offset by the convenience and cost savings of not having to buy replacement bags. I highly recommend this vacuum cleaner!

Metro Vacuum DV3ESD1 DataVac/3 ESD Anti-Static 1.7-HP Vacuum

First off let may tell all that read this that at the time of this review the picture is sightly incorrect.

There are no extension tubes (why would you want them anyhow) and the is no flat attachment.

What you do get:

(1) DataVac 3 (two speed) really good power cord (rubber not plastic)

(1) Rubber (not plastic hose)

(1) A long nozzle attachment

(1) Bruch attachment (very soft)

(1) Really great micro long reach attachment

(1) Extra Foam filter

(1) Extra Bad (Buy more trust me)

(1) Awesome quality anti-static wrist unit with extra long cord (USA Quality)

(1) Great Padded carry bag with plenty of extra space.

OK now for the realty check for the nay sayers. This is a COMPUTER AND SERVER vacuum. Not a car detailing vacuum or pet hair cleaning vacuum. Just computers and servers and guess what it does an amazing job. Also if you can not figure out how to use a vacuum as simple as this one...well maybe you should not buy it.

Seriously it is per-assembled plug in and use. You can open it and well to replace the bag is kind of like; Remove old bag, slip in new bag...um that is kind of it. Not much more to do really. You can look at it for a while, I prefer to just close it back up after that.

Now I own Occams Razor Security and we do a lot of server work. Today I was at a client working on a SCO Unix Conversion and we needed to clean a server which lets just say has not been opened let alone cleaned for around 20 years. Yep one of those servers. The kind where the dust bunnies are more like really mad, haven't been fed for years, bite your head off dust bunnies.

Well the DataVac 3 cleaned so well, the client was literally speechless, they wanted to know where to get one. Suffice it to say the price tag kind of gave them a reality check in that area.

Also Notice the word "Rubber" in the parts description this means reduces the likely hood of static discharge Metal grounded case with wrist strap you can clip to metal connectors on handle. Hmmmm, more anti-static safety.

Look this is not a cheap machine, we use them a lot! At ORS we always offer system cleaning as a value added service. So DataVac is the only way to go for us. Look at it this way our clients trust us to keep their systems running in top condition and I do not want to hear a client say my mother board got fried when you vacuumed out our system. So we only use DataVac and nothing else. Think your vacuum does not generate static electricity go nuts and vacuum your home system it is like playing Russian runlet with your system, maybe it will survive. Me I have seen to many systems go bye bye do to normal vacuums and computer motherboards.

The Data Vac 3 ESD unit meets Government Specifications for static discharge protection and it is a quality machine made in the USA. No cheap parts found here. It is built like a tank and I know that myself or an associate going out to a client will never have to worry about the DataVac working.

You want need a quality computer or server vacuum look no further, you want to complain about attachments that are not needed, get another vacuum. This one is for professionals and it is well worth the money.

Big Berkey with (4) 9" British Berkefeld Ceramic SuperSterasyl Water Filters

Works well, looks good, water tastes great! Very happy with this item.

Before you buy, be aware that it is large and heavy. Make sure you have a safe place to keep it so that the spout hangs over the edge of a counter. Berkey makes platform stands for these and has replacement parts on their web site.

Update: After a few weeks, the plastic spout cracked! Maybe someone pushed down too hard on it, but I thought it was a shame that such a nice unit had a cheap spout. I was able to buy replacement spouts and gaskets on the internet for around $10 per set.

Another issue was the gasket started to leak. The seller was helpful and told me to put a drop or two of olive oil on the gasket. This worked after a few tries and it no longer leaks. Bottom line...since this is a preparedness item, it is best to buy one or two replacement spouts and gaskets to keep on hand.

It's been over 6 months now and other than this, I am still pleased with the unit.

BISSELL Steam & Sweep Hard Floor Cleaner

I have been researching mops, steam mops, wood floor sweepers, etc. for about two months. I have read every pro and con of pretty much everything out there. I have a ton of wood floor and tile in my house and I absolutely cannot stand to clean it. I hate sweeping the wood floor, I hate the debris that flies in the air, I hate bending over with the dust pan, I hate the sticky feeling my swiffer leaves behind, I just overall have hated my floors for 5 years because they never ever feel clean. I had a friend sing the praises of the Shark steam mop the other day, so I finally decided to break down and buy SOMETHING. I didn't even care if it did an excellent job, I just wanted something. Butmy one qualification was that it be a combo steamer and sweeper. I just had to solve the sweeping issue at the same time. Which leaves you with pretty much the Bissell or the Shark. I looked at the Shark at Wal-mart and the bottom of it made me laugh. The vacuum hole is like 3 inches wide and has no brush or anything. I was not impressed with that. So I went to Target and picked up the Bissell. And now I want to marry it and become Mrs. Bissell because it is so fantastic. A few things about this machine you might want to know: It has an awesome, LONG strong cord. It has a really cool "dyson-like" ball joint that makes it super easy to manuever. The steam works great, the water tank looks tiny, but it lasts a really long time, it comes with two pads that are thick and strong, it lays completely flat when going under furniture, it fits under the counters in the kitchen, it doesn't leave very much water on the floor (I read other complaints of other manchines that leave a ton of water), it dries really fast, it heats up and is ready in 15 seconds or less, it has a clear compartment on top so you can see what debris it is picking up. One caveatthe suction is not super strong, but then again I like my vacuums to sound like a jet engine and suck my skin off if they had the chance, so maybe I am picky. But the brush feature does pick up a lot of stuff. And having the cleaning pad right behind it helps to trap stuff too. So for instance it picked up small leaves, not a band-aid wrapper. It picked up cracker crumbs and bugs, but not a tag to a shirt. The machine is meant to be used with the vacuum and the steamer going simultaneously to save time, however, I like to use just the vacuum and dry cloth to dust mop/vacuum my floors and then activate the steam and do it seperately. But I did use it together and it did okay. Another nice feature is that it is a light and easy machine so you really enjoy using it and don't feel like you are lugging out a Volkswagen to do your chores. I have had it two days and I have been using the vacuum constantly. I love that thing! And once you do an initial cleanthe follow-up cleanings are a snap! I finally feel like my floors are clean. It has changed my whole feeling about my house. As far as anything I don't like, you do have to squeeze a trigger for when you want steam and if you are steaming your whole floor then your finger hurts by the end and that is a little annoying. It does also take some upmh! to push it when you are steam cleaning at first. I am sure it gets easier as the floor is cleaner :) Anyway, this machine is one of the best purchases I have made in a long time. I highly recommend it!

I'm VERY happy with it!-

I got the portable model "without!" a Negative Ionizer (ionizer magnetizes... smoke, and causes it to stick permanently to walls/floor!)!

BISSELL CleanView Plus

I just began using my new Bissell CleanView Plus w/ OnePass Upright Vacuum. I am extremely happy with this product.

First, it is super easy to assemble/put all the accesories where they belong. Took me about 5 minutes. The suction is quite amazing and very consistent and powerful. The head of the vacuum is slim, so it can fit under many lowstanding furniture pieces. The Turbobrush works great on the couches/chairs, etc. One of the options I really like is the ease that it takes to empty the collection canister. Just pop a button and the bottom opens up right into the trash!

To sum it up, this is a tremendous vacuum for the price. Bissell makes great products and I will continue to trust my house cleaning to them. Enjoy!

Hamilton Beach 04922 TrueAir Replacement Carbon Filters

I have asthma and the Hamilton Beach 04162 has both my votes. I did a lot of research and intially bought the Blue Air (which I returned the next day). The reviews indicated it was the quitest air purifier. It isn't and it cost 2 and 1/2 times the price of the Hamilton Beach. Although it supposedly has the lowest decibel level (which I do not believe), the BlueAir has an extremely irritating high whine that oscillates irregularly, not to mention an annoying bright blue light. This might be good for torturing someone, but the BlueAir is NOT quiet. The only reason I didn't buy the Hamilton Beach to begin with was because a reviewer said he could not sleep to it. ... The Hamilton Beach on low setting has a white noise effect and I actually prefer to have it on when I sleep. It's sound is soporific. The light from the Infrared can be turned off, but it is not annoying like the light from the BlueAir, so I leave it on. The infrared has elimated the mold problem we were having in our bathroom. It is very attractive, well designed, well built, doesn't way a ton, monitors the air, does not incorporated ozone (thank God), and has enabled me to sleep much better. The air is noticibly cleaner and fresher now. The bottom line is I use to get up frequently at night wiith my asthma and now I don't!

HERA Ultrasonic Humidifer

To combat the dry air commonly found in winter, I have used humidifiers for as long as I can remember. I have used various types and I tend to prefer the ultrasonic humidifiers due to their low noise and the lack of required filters and other parts that other types of humidifiers commonly use.

Let us start with the basics. The HERA ultrasonic humidifier is basically another ultrasonic humidifier. The basic functionality of the product is not much different than any other ultrasonic humidifier that I have ever seen. The unit creates a spout of water mist, which in theory will evaporate before hitting the ground and humidify the air. The product does this and does this well.

However, the HERA Ultrasonic Humidifier has a pretty hefty price tag compared to many other models. What sets the HERA brand apart from the rest?

The HERA Ultrasonic Humidifier has touchpad controls that allow the user to customize the humidifier settings to their own preferences. The humidifier has a warm mist feature that helps take the cold, wet feeling out of the room. There is the option of three different output levels. The humidifier can be set up to shut off when it reaches a predetermined humidity level and there is a digital hygrometer to show you the humidity level of the room. The night mode will dim the LCD display if the light bothers you at night. The unit is equipped with a filter cartridge meant to reduce the hardness level of your water and an ionic silver cube meant to help keep the water bacteria free.

I personally found most of the functions on the humidifier pretty intuitive. I did have to refer to the manual a few times to figure out exactly what certain buttons did. I felt that the manual was very poorly designed. I thought the content of the manual was fine, but the layout of the manual was not very user friendly in my opinion. While I did not have problems figuring out how to fill the tank, my wife did have to take some time to figure out where the water went.

There were some things I really liked about the unit. I thought the output level of the unit was powerful. On the highest setting with the unit 2 feet off the ground, the water did not evaporate before it hit the ground. I thought the unit was very aesthetically pleasing. It is an attractive box form that can fit in a number of areas easily. I thought the warm mist was a nice option that I felt made a difference in the feel of the air in the room. One of the things I liked best was that the tank is square, which makes for easy filling. I have had other shaped tanks that were a pain to try and hold while filling with several gallons of water.

The hygrometer seemed to be fairly accurate for the most part. I put another hygrometer in the same room and the readings were pretty close. The only exception to this is when I filled the tank. The hygrometer on the humidifier would read too high for a few minutes after filling the tank. If the auto mode is being utilized, it will usually shut off until the reading corrects itself.

What I did not like about the unit is the concept of the filter cartridge. I live in an area with pretty hard water. There is a water softener in my house, but I know many people do not have one. I have used ultrasonic humidifiers for years before I put my water softener in and I will admit after about 3 or 4 winters, I will usually have to clean the humidifier out with vinegar and a soft brush. While the idea of the filter cartridge did intrigue me, it is a disposable part and one that might need to be changed frequently.

The humidifier comes with a test strip. The test strip appears to be German and measures in units of Degrees of Hardness (dH) and the instructions measures water hardness in "pink boxes." I took a sample of untreated water in my house and using test strips, I measured it to be about 250 ppm (parts per million) or about 15 gpg (grains per gallon). Using the provided test strip, it measured about 17 dH or about 3.5 pink boxes. In my later research, I found that the gpg and dH measurements are not identical, but for this purpose, they are close enough to use interchangeably.

So why am I spending so much time talking about water hardness? The filter cartridge life is dependant on water hardness. With 15gpg/17dH water hardness level at my house without the water softener, I can expect the filter cartridge to last for 20 to 40 gallons of water or 10 to 20 fills of the tank. At the time of this writing, a Stadler Form A-112 replacement cartridge runs $15 to $20. The Stadler Form Replacement Ionic Silver Cube is supposed to be replaced annually and currently that runs another $25.

My treated water is about 1 gpg. According to the manual, at this hardness level, the filter should last about 115 gallons of water or about 58 fills.

While I liked the humidifier, the price of replacement cartridges and silver cubes can be quite expensive. Both of these items are optional to use, but if you take those aspects away, then this is just another ultrasonic humidifier and then there are many more cost effective alternatives available. Those alternatives might not be as stylish and the controls might not be as user friendly, but when it comes down to it, without the filter cartridge, my $50 Sunbeam has most of the same functions as this one.

Overall, I thought it was an excellent product worthy of 5 stars. However, keep in mind that there is potentially quite an expense to utilize the product to its full potential. For that, I am deducting 2 stars.

Air Filter for Poulan Replaces 530037793 Fits Craftsman

I purchased two of these filters, one being for my 2004 year 36 cc Craftsman chainsaw and the other for my 2002 year Poulan 2075 chainsaw. These filters were a perfect fit and identical to the original foam filter material. The purchase of them here through Amazon saved me cash and time looking for filters to fit my nine and eleven year old chainsaws. As long as I can still get my service parts for these old saws through Amazon, I won't need to spend more purchasing a new saw. Also, by purchasing two filters, I only paid the shipping price once and beat the price of local retailers.

4 Zone Multi Split 4 x 12,000 Btu Ductless Wall Mount

I'm really happy with my birthday gift...my sister got me this new Klimaire air conditioning multi split system, each of my room have this great quiet fan coil and I love it!!!. My Technician was very nice explaining how the unit works, I was a little afraid with this new technology but it is the best. It took about a day to finish installation and technical support on the heatandcool store was very helpful and professional, they ask first if my technician was available and I handed the phone to him to ask and make sure everything was there before starting the installation. I'm extremely cold and my heating mode works great, my room is nice and comfy, while my husband is not that cold, he can be in the office with the temperature he fills comfortable with. I love it, I don't need to turn on all the units at the same time and my electric bill went noticeable down. I could be writing all day about how happy I am about this system.

Thank you Klimaire for having the best air conditioning unit at affordable price. I was checking the reviews and noticed that some home owners where having trouble after DIY installation (bad choice) and of course warranty was void, as soon I read it, I registered my unit with the information the technician provided and contact Klimaire to make sure everthing was Ok, and they confirmed as long as a Licensed tech installed the unit, warranty will be covered.

I fully recommend this system to my friends and neighbors!!!

Amaircare Roomaid Auto Adaptor Kit

I ordered this so that I could travel with my Amaircare air cleaner. Looking at the picture, it seemed that I would need this. However, I have a car Power Inverter for plugging in various electrical items while traveling such as computers and other electronics. The metal plate shown in the picture is a seat belt clip to hold the air cleaner in place on your front seat. Since I had planned to put the air cleaner on the floor behind me, $30 was a bit too much to pay to have the air cleaner ride jump seat. So, I returned the adapter and now just plug the air cleaner into my inverter. If you are inclined to purchase this adapter, you may want to spend your $30 and buy an inverter instead that will allow you to plug in your Air Cleaner and so much more.

936850 Hunter Multi-Stage Mesh Replacement Pre-Filter

I ordered this pre-filter as a replacement for the one that came with my Hunter air purifier. For some reason, Hunter has decided to use a lighter weight frame around the mesh. When I put it in the filter (which is meant to be a tight fit), the frame bent.

I suppose now that it's in, it's doing the job of pre-filtering, but every time I take it out to clean it, the frame bends more. Eventually it will be unusable. The OEM pre-filter was great and it lasted me for a few years. I am very disappointed with this one, but unfortunately I don't think the original is produced any longer.

The price was good, but Hunter needs to step up the quality of materials it is using if they want to keep customers. As soon as I can, I'll be looking for a new whole room air purifier. Given the quality of the after-market replacements, I won't be looking for a Hunter.
