I had rinsed and re-used my old filter several times, and thought it was time to replace it. I purchased two of these. I removed it from the vacuum cleaner to shake out the debris, replaced it, then noticed it wasn't attached properly. It kept falling to the bottom of the canister. I removed it and looked at the prongs/hooks that hold it into place and noticed that two of them had broken off. My old one is still very much intact, so I put it back on for a few more uses.
