I buy these humidifiers because they are easy to clean & maintain, and they broadcast a nice mist.There are no gooey-feeling in-the-water-filters to clean or replace. There is one little filter that cleans the air before it enters into the humidifier, but other than that there is none. It doesn't touch the water.
I have used these humidifiers to put in about 3 drops of essential oil to broadcast through my home daily. They work wonderfully. They are much cheaper than the expensive machines made for essential oils & I think they do a better job.
I have been using these humidifiers for years. I hope they don't stop making them!
