The products I received do not appear to be "genuine" Bissell filters, as the items were packaged in a plain clear resealable bag.This is especially disappointing, given that Bissell charges $3 on its website (instead of the $7 charged here). I bought it on Amazon to avoid the additional shipping charges by Bissell (it worked out to be a dollar cheaper here).
As for the quality of the foam, it appears to be a different texture than the original filter. I'm not a foam expert, however, and they may be comparable.
Lesson learned.
