I adopted two stray cats and was getting itchy, watery eyes and various allergy symptoms. I switched filter brands to the Filtrete 1500 Ultra Allergen and the allergy symptoms stopped. The Filtrete picks up more general dust than the other filters. It also filtered out more pollen during the spring season. I recommend this filter, particularly if you have pets and are dealing with hair and dander.
